The Rule of Thirds

Here the statue is in the far left section of the tic tac toe chart.

Viewpoint
By changing the point of view of this photo it makes the viewer see
the sky and the curve of the buildings instead of two parallel buildings.

Lines
This photo has a lot of lines, the roads are pathways, the skylines are
lines going up, even the trees have there trunks in lines.
depth
The thick street line going into a thinner one adds depth. Also the path and
sky meeting make the photo have a deeper feeling.
balance
The peoples shadows in this photo balance out the hand rails and the
buildings .
background
The background in this photo is very plain and simple.
Symmetry
The hotels door are being reflected with the water puddle
making the photo be symmetrical.
Cropping

The street signs usually get lost in a busy city with tons of
skylines but here they have been cropped to be the center of attention.

Framing

The Tree branches and the light on the street surround the

building in the middle like framing it.

Merging

In this photo the Bridge is getting in the way of the buildings causing to much collagen
